Gift Cards
We do not sell gift cards yet — and we would rather say so than sell you a code that disappoints. A gift card for a handmade shop is a harder promise than it looks: pieces are made to order, and a card that cannot be spent for six weeks is not much of a gift. Here is what works instead, today.
Three things that work better right now
- 1Let them choose, then orderSend them the Gift Finder. Three questions and it narrows thousands of pieces down to a handful. They pick, you order, it ships to them.
- 2Ship straight to themPut their address as the shipping address at checkout. No prices are shown on anything that arrives — see Gift Wrapping & Notes.
- 3Add their name to itMost pieces here can carry a name, a date, or a short message at no extra cost. A blanket with their name on it beats a gift card in every way except convenience.
If you are buying at the last minute
Check Shipping Deadlines first. If you have missed the cut-off, order anyway and tell the recipient it is coming — a photo of the piece being made lands better than a plastic card, and the shop will usually send you one if you ask.
When we will offer them
We will add gift cards when we can promise three things: the code works on every shop here, it never expires, and the balance is protected if a shop closes. Until all three are true, we would be selling you a worse version of the gift.
